    Testimonials

5 testimonials for Pousada de Viseu – Hotel Viseu

    1. This was one stop on a tour of seven Pousadas and Paradors. When we booked it, I was a little worried as I knew nothing about Viseu, we stayed two nights and by the time we left, we had fallen in love with the city and it’s people.

The Pousada is magnificent, clearly a hospital at one time, even somehow, a slight ‘hospitally’ aura when you first enter, but it has been transformed into a magnificent hotel. Still with so many of it’s original stairs and passages, it invites you to explore, but at the same time sleek and modern. Comfortable and welcoming, it, together with the city, ended up as one of our favourites.
The reception staff are delightful and so patient.

Easily within walking distance of the town and cathedral,
      Viseu! We loved you!

    2. We stayed for one night (29th August 2010) at the Pousada at Viseu and had an excellent time. We stayed in one of the superior rooms on the 4th floor, and had dinner in the restaurant. The quality throughout was excellent – the bedroom was spacious, the view was expansive, the dinner was superb. Viseu is a pretty little town, easy to walk around with some interesting architecture and good shops. The Pousada has been created from the old hospital in a very sympathetic manner … throughout the Pousada there are photographs of the restoration work in progress, which are both decorative and intersting. This is really an exceptionally high quality place to stay, and we can thoroughly recommend it.
