Description
The Martinhal Cascais Family Hotel
If you’re travelling to Portugal with kids, the Martinhal Cascais hotel resort offers the perfect combination of a 5-star luxury that’s close to the lively capital city – it is the best of both worlds. Cascais is a beautiful seaside town with great beaches, yet only 30 mins drive to downtown Lisbon.
A Fantastic Resort for Adults and Children
The Martinhal Cascais hotel offers everything you and your children may need for a relaxing holiday. With an active kids club, large playground, football pitch, indoor and outdoor pools and various other kids activities dotted around, children will be entertained allowing parents to relax. The outdoor play areas are located within sight of the bars and restaurants so parents can watch their older children play in comfort. There is also a small play area in the main restaurant.
For adults, there is a spa, gym and on-site activities, including yoga and pilates, and an in-hour bike rental station where you can hire bikes and organise cycling tours. The hotel is also nestled between two championship golf courses, Quinta da Marinha and Oitavos. Some adult and children’s activities are chargeable.
For smaller guests at the Martinhal Cascais hotel, the baby concierge is on hand to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Bottle sterilisers, baby gates, cots and baby baths are available and both restaurants offer an extensive menu of baby food.
5 Star Luxury Rooms Available
The Martinhal Cascais family hotel has 68 spacious rooms, measuring 40 sqm, with large bathrooms with a bath and walk-in-shower. All beds are super king size and can be arranged into twin beds if required. Each room has a large balcony which overlooks either the hotel’s water features, garden and pool area or the Quinta da Marinha golf course. Some rooms have bunk beds for children and interconnecting rooms are available. Cots are available on request.
The 4 suites are similar in design but, at 60 sqm offer the additional benefit of a wooden screen that can be pulled across to create a separate living area.
The hotel’s 12 villas are perfect for families looking for a longer stay or larger families wanting two separate bedrooms. They have a well-equipped kitchen and a separate living and dining room.
A car is recommended for guests staying at this hotel, although taxis are easy to arrange and reasonably priced. The centre of Cascais is 5kms away (it is a lovely resort town with a small beach and a great park) and you can take a scenic train ride from the centre of Cascais to downtown Lisbon in under 30 mins. Lisbon is great for kids – the large aquarium is very popular and the castle is great fun (you can get the classic 28 tram up to the castle).
The hotel’s family concierge can organise activities, including tennis, surf or paddle boarding lessons, sailing, rock climbing, horse riding, dolphin watching or fishing activities for the whole family.
