    Testimonials

4 testimonials for Pousada Castelo de Alvito – Hotel Castelo de Alvito

    1. A nicely positioned Pousada that was impressive both inside and out, we enjoyed our stay. The staff were charming and helpfull and the whole place had a relaxing feel to it. The resturant was good, even by Pousadas high standards, with excellant food and good service. Our room was decorated and funished to a style to suit the surroundings and was both pleasing and comfortable. We were very happy with our stay

    3. We stayed in more than one pousada during our trip to Portugal in early July, and had no cause for significant complaint on any front as they are very professionally run by well trained and personable men and women. The Pousada de Alvito is a delight, and our “superior” room was top-notch, with a splendid bathroom. Service was excellent, and the food was delicious – the only occasion on which we were less than impressed was when, after dinner, we found the bar abandoned and had to seek out someone to serve us a drink. The peacocks were a mixed blessing, as they are birds which inevitably keep one awake with their predilection for making a loud, almost cat-like noise from time to time !

    4. We stayed at Alvito in early August 2013. Our greeting at the Reception desk was warm and welcoming. We had a spaceaous room which had all ht ecomforts we would have expected from a pousada. The food certainly lived up to expectations and service in the resaurant was excellent. The pousada is situated in a very peaceful village and the catle itself is an ideal place for rest and recuperation. Service outside of the resaurant is good when you ask, but outside of this service could be a little more proactive. A small but I think valid point. We would definitely recommend a visit to anyone seeking something off the beaten track, and who wants to relax in comfort. Thank you Pousada Alvito for a most gratifying stay.
